NEWS - Powerclean's revamped Liberty

Why should water-cooled engines, powerful vacuum systems, standard auto-pump out systems and stainless steel components be limited to the very few? Jim Bethel, Powerclean sales manager: “The design team at Powerclean USA, with our input, basically decided about six months ago to re-design the Liberty XT from the ground up to fill the growing need for a quiet, compact truck mount.”

The Liberty is the ideal machine for someone looking to upgrade to a water-cooled truck mount, and who is looking for a high quality product that will last for years. The Liberty has an extremely compact footprint and with the ability to remote mount the compact waste tank you can install it in any standard van, trailer and even many small panel vans.

Bethel: “When PowerClean looked around, they noticed that so many companies were still supplying average truckmounts for above average prices. To get a great machine with great performance you had to spend a lot more money then some people/companies felt comfortable with - until the all new Liberty XT came along.”
Now, according to Jim, cleaning technicians can purchase a cheaper priced Liberty knowing that they are getting a machine which boasts high end specs that “are normally only found in the largest and most expensive truck mounts on the market.”
The Liberty has been designed from the ground up with vacuum in mind. The air flow path including the waste tank has been designed to run the optional larger bore 2.5" vacuum hose which flows 56% more air flow than a 2" hose.

Water cooled engine
PowerClean have adopted a uniform standard of using water-cooled engines across their entire range of machines from their small units to the top of the line Genesis.
Jim: “Other manufacturers choose to use small 16 - 20 horsepower air-cooled engines presumably to save money! We do not believe that it benefits anyone to utilise low budget air cooled engines on machines that should be lasting technicians 5-10 years.”
He continued: “Water Cooled engines are cheaper to run, quieter, more reliable and have a longer life span than their air cooled counterparts.”

2300 psi Pump
The Liberty utilises a 2300 psi pressure pump that is limited to 2000 psi. “True, 1000 psi can clean hard surfaces, but higher pressures and flow do so more quickly and leave the end result cleaner - and isn’t that what people purchase a truckmount for, efficiency?” It also has last step chemical injection and seals that can run dry without water without damaging the seals.

Pump out
The Liberty has the same external, belt driven, filterless APO system that is normally only found on $45,000 - $55,000 truckmounts. This unit operates at 98 litres per minute and is more than capable for flood restoration companies, carpet cleaners and tile cleaning companies alike.

Blower
The Liberty comes with a Roots bi-lobe 36 DSL (not to be confused with other smaller Trilobe blowers with similar figures in their names) blower and features a standard Kunkle Valve.
Bethel: “A properly installed Kunkle Valve increases vacuum efficiency while the unit is under load and significantly increases vacuum performance and lowers drying times.”

Solution temperature
According to Jim, the Liberty is also excellent in the heat department, utilising PowerClean's standard liquid heat exchangers and also being able to utilise the heat from the radiator on the water cooled engine, “something the air cooled machines obviously cannot utilise.”

Servicing
Servicing the Liberty is as simple as removing the front panel cover which simply folds forward to allow access to the wiring diagram and single relay on the machine. Bethel: “Also, like the rest of the PowerClean machines, it has front mounted service ports which makes draining oils extremely simple. It has a simplified control system which means no solenoids or diverters to deal with.”

Warranty
Because of how well the Liberty is manufactured, Kohler has given PowerClean a 3 year warranty on the engine and the frame and waste tank have a 5 year warranty.
The final word from Jim: “When you start looking for your next truck mount, take a long hard look at the Liberty and then compare everything else to it. We’re confident that technicians will agree with us that the Liberty is the absolute finest machine in its class and PowerClean back this up with a warranty that is unmatched.”
“We knew we wouldn’t be able to build the most inexpensive machine out there but we were positive we could build a machine that would blow the doors off the “budget truck mounts” without burning a hole in customers’ pockets.”
The Liberty package starts at $18 per day. For more details contact Powerclean on 1300 2POWER or 1300 276 937.
